Hello hello,
This week I’m talking about content batching. It’s not because the UK is back in lockdown and the schools are closed but there’s certainly a lesson about content batching in this.
Here are 3 reasons why you should batch your content:
It keeps you consistent when life gets in the way (like lockdowns and home school)
You get time back when you need it the most
You follow your commitment to your audience to show up.
Ever hear the old saying, “never put off until tomorrow something which can be done today”?
Or: “a stitch in time saves nine.”?
I heard these a lot when I was a kid. Although at the time, it was probably about doing homework on the day I got it or putting my clothes in the wash bin.
If I did everything I could do tomorrow, today, then I’d never get to sleep. It’s not practical or realistic.
With that in mind, here are three reasons not to batch your content:
You aren’t reacting to what happening in the world or your business niche.
You’re broadcasting, not listening.
You risk having a passive approach to your audience.
So should you batch?
Listen to the podcast here and let me know what you think.
Do this one thing
Make a list of actions you do weekly or even daily. Can any of these be done in advance at the start of the month?
What do you need to be there to do?
And a bonus tip: that list of actions that you can batch… perfect job to outsource, giving you even more time to work on your business.
And this is important
Batching content ISN’T about producing more content. You don’t batch to create excessive content because you think you should. It’s about giving yourself time to produce better content and be consistent with it.
Until next week!
Fiona
